Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced MS/Tele RN with a SC or compact RN license for a night shift position requiring every other weekend coverage.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the MS/Tele unit of an acute care hospital
• Serves a patient population requiring med/surg and telemetry care
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m.
• Every other weekend is required
• Floating within scope to similar units may be required
• Epic is the charting system used; EMR experience preferred
• Royal blue scrubs are required
• Level III trauma environment with 286 staffed beds
• Pre-employment modules must be completed prior to start
• Block scheduling requests can be made but are not guaranteed
• Holiday and RTO policies require all requests to be submitted up front and are subject to approval based on facility needs
• Free parking is available on site
• Locals may be considered at a local rate on a case-by-case basis

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license must be in hand prior to start
• Two years of recent MS/Tele experience required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
• SSN and driver’s license required for consideration
• First-time travelers accepted
• Previous permanent employees must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible as travelers
• Must be located outside a 60-mile radius unless approved as a local candidate
