Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures, requiring ARRT and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital radiology department
• Performs general diagnostic radiology exams for a diverse patient population
• Day shifts: Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Approximately 36 hours per week with 8-hour shifts
• No floating required to other units or departments
• Utilizes GE and Carestream imaging equipment, McKesson PACS, and Epic EMR
• Duties include performing diagnostic imaging, ensuring patient safety and comfort, maintaining patient records, and sending images to PACS
• Responsible for applying radiation protection principles and reporting equipment malfunctions
• Staff may wear scrubs of any color
• Competency exams and room orientation must be completed before working independently
• Supports a safe patient environment through adherence to safety protocols

Requirements

• Current ARRT certification required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ISDH license required if applicable
• Competency performing all general diagnostic radiology exams
• Previous experience as a radiologic technologist required
