Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position in California requiring a current CA RN license and advanced neonatal resuscitation skills.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with 12-hour shifts
- 13-week assignment
- Care for labor, delivery, and high-risk OB patients
- Unit uses Epic for electronic medical records
- Role includes supporting labor and delivery, monitoring maternal and fetal well-being, and providing care for high-risk obstetric cases
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, midwives, and other nurses
- EPIC charting experience preferred
- Local and travel candidates are paid at the same rate
- Holiday and weekend coverage may be required based on shift scheduling
- Contingent workers may not exceed two years on assignment without a 90-day break
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum 1 year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time Labor & Delivery experience
- Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Last 4 digits of SSN and date of birth required
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field preferred
- Five or more years of recent Labor & Delivery experience preferred
- High-risk Labor & Delivery experience within the last 2 years preferred
