Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position in California requiring a current CA RN license and advanced neonatal resuscitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with 12-hour shifts
• 13-week assignment
• Care for labor, delivery, and high-risk OB patients
• Unit uses Epic for electronic medical records
• Role includes supporting labor and delivery, monitoring maternal and fetal well-being, and providing care for high-risk obstetric cases
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, midwives, and other nurses
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Local and travel candidates are paid at the same rate
• Holiday and weekend coverage may be required based on shift scheduling
• Contingent workers may not exceed two years on assignment without a 90-day break

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Minimum 1 year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time Labor & Delivery experience
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Last 4 digits of SSN and date of birth required
• Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field preferred
• Five or more years of recent Labor & Delivery experience preferred
• High-risk Labor & Delivery experience within the last 2 years preferred
