Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN with at least one year of experience and a GA or compact RN license for a travel assignment requiring weekend and holiday coverage.

Responsibilities

• Work in a medical-surgical unit in a hospital environment
• Patient population includes stroke, COPD, AKI, chest pain, diabetes, COVID, pneumonia, and general med/surg cases
• Day shift schedule, three 12-hour shifts per week (6:45 to 19:15)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Locals accepted at the same rate
• Expected to work major holidays as assigned; if one holiday falls during assignment you work one, if two then both, if three then two holidays
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• Return travelers unable to work at a facility must complete a successful assignment outside the health system prior to rebooking at a new location
• Travel pairs are not permitted to be assigned the same shift on the same unit
• Full compliance is required to start on time; non-compliance may delay start date due to orientation schedule
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off (RTO) is permitted, and RTO is not allowed during the first week of assignment

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year recent medical-surgical RN experience
• Current BLS certification required
• Must provide two supervisory references at the manager level or above for consideration
• First time travelers will be considered
• Must not have worked in any Piedmont facility in any capacity (Perm/PRN) within the last 12 months to be eligible
