Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position in Florida with Epic experience and specialized certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Labor and Delivery unit
• Patient ratio is 1:2
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 18:45 to 07:15
• Required to work every other weekend or a total of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period, determined by unit needs
• On-call required as needed
• Floating required to all four hospitals within the system
• Uses Epic documentation system
• Nurses will provide comprehensive care for laboring patients and newborns
• Benefits from provided scrubs in any solid color; tops and bottoms must match color without logos or prints
• Free parking available with a decal provided at orientation
• First-time travelers are accepted for this role
• Both local and travel candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Applicants who have previously held an internal contracted position must wait one year before reapplying
• Finalized requests for time off must be submitted prior to offer; no changes accepted after offer

Requirements

• Active Florida or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
• Certifications required: ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM); BLS and AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references from authority figures within the past year required
• Flu vaccine required between 10/31 and 3/31, with only medical or religious exemptions accepted
