Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN with 18 months recent experience and proficiency in Cerner charting for a night shift contract.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a medical surgical unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes general medical and surgical cases
• Night shift schedule is 4x12 hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals
• EMR system used is Cerner and prior experience with Cerner is required
• Not accepting local candidates for Med/Surg positions
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• All Med/Surg RNs must be willing to float as needed
• Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) can be auto-approved

Requirements

• Active IN or Compact RN license must be in hand prior to start
• 18 months to 2 years recent Med/Surg RN experience required
• Current certifications accepted: AHA or RQI
• Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution
• All travelers must have received a COVID vaccine; exemptions allowed only with appropriate documentation
• Perm or PRN employees must have a 12 month gap before applying as a traveler
