Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring a KY or compact RN license, Cath Lab experience, and EPIC proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cath Lab of a hospital setting
• 4 days per week, 9-hour day shifts from 6:00AM to 3:30PM
• On-call required for weekends and holidays
• Must be able to report to work within 30 minutes for on-call duties
• Utilizes EPIC for documentation
• Performs both diagnostic and interventional catheterization procedures
• Responsible for both circulating and monitoring duties during Cath Lab procedures
• Expected to interpret and manage dysrhythmias and assist in advanced cardiac procedures
• Documentation and charting are completed in EPIC
• Weekend and holiday coverage required due to on-call responsibilities
• Must be able to respond onsite within 30 minutes when on call

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab nursing experience
• Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• Ability to circulate for procedures
• Experience performing and managing diagnostic right and left heart catheterizations, interventional catheterizations, and monitoring pulmonary artery lines/Swan Ganz
• Proficiency in recognizing and managing dysrhythmias
• EPIC experience required
• Scrub experience preferred
