Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry unit with oncology focus, requiring strong telemetry or MedSurg skills and Indiana or compact license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based Telemetry unit with an oncology focus
• Patient population includes heavy telemetry and oncology cases
• Expected to manage drips and cardiac rhythms
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:30
• Weekend shifts required every other weekend
• Floating required to intermediate care or lower acuity units
• Uses Cerner for charting
• Responsible for managing drips, monitoring rhythms, and caring for complex oncology/telemetry patients
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• No on-call or holiday shift requirements

Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience
• Strong telemetry experience preferred; strong MedSurg skills required if not telemetry experienced
• Must pass medication and EKG competency tests
• Royal Blue top and White or Royal Blue bottoms are required for scrubs
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
