Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 2 years of acute rehab experience and a current Nevada OT license for a Tuesday-Saturday day shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in an acute rehab setting
• Work schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 40 hours per week on 8-hour shifts
• Required to provide care to behavioral health patients as needed
• Serve as a member of an interdisciplinary team providing occupational therapy evaluation and treatment
• Perform detailed clinical assessments and develop individualized plans of care following physician referral
• Required to document patient treatment accurately and appropriately
• Must respond effectively to new and changing work assignments
• AHA certifications only are accepted
• Active license required at the time of consideration; pending licenses are not accepted

Requirements

• Current and active Occupational Therapist (OTR) license in Nevada required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of acute rehab OT experience in a U.S. hospital
• Bachelor's degree from an AOTA-accredited program required; Master's degree highly desired
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• CPI certification required
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility; no local candidates allowed
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred from within the last 12 months, including one from the most recent employer
• U.S. Social Security Number required
