Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced PACU RN with travel experience, an active IN or compact RN license, and required certifications for a 13-week acute care assignment.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) within an acute care setting
• Care for post-operative patients in the recovery phase
• Shift options are 8 or 10 hours, Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours per week
• Typical shift schedules include 11:30-20:00 for 5 days/week or 9:30-20:00 for 4 days/week
• On-call rotation is required with approximately 9 days of call in a 6-week period, including 1 weekend (Friday-Sunday)
• Epic EMR is used for documentation
• Responsibilities include providing nursing care to post-anesthesia patients during recovery
• Required to take call with shifts beginning at the end of the scheduled workday
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Working as part of a PACU team in a dynamic environment

Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with previous PACU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience is required
• ICU experience is preferred
