Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least one year of experience and an active Oklahoma PT license for a full-time Adult Rehab Services contract.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in an adult rehabilitation services department
• Work schedule is full-time, 40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday
• Setting involves providing physical therapy treatments for adult patients under physician direction
• Responsibilities include interpreting physician orders, evaluating patients, creating treatment plans, and modifying them as needed
• Participates in discharge planning and instructs patients in home therapy programs
• Documents treatments and patient responses in medical records
• May supervise or assist students during clinical rotations depending on experience
• Responsible for cleaning and maintaining therapy equipment
• A 50 mile radius rule applies; local candidates within 50 miles will not be considered
• Returning employees may only extend one time up to 26 weeks and must have a 6 month separation before reapplying

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• Baccalaureate degree in Physical Therapy required
• Active Oklahoma Physical Therapist license required; license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles, anatomy, physiology, and patient care techniques
• Ability to use and adjust therapy equipment
• Basic computer proficiency necessary
