Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float Pool position at night shifts, requiring an active NY RN license and Epic EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Critical Care Float Pool covering various ICU units
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
• 13-week contract assignment
• Patient assignments vary based on ICU unit needs
• Epic EMR system is used and prior experience is required
• No blocked scheduling allowed
• Travelers may be required to float among ICU and specialty critical care units
• Competency testing for ICU required with two attempts to pass
• More than 3 call outs in a 13-week period may result in contract termination; make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks of the last call out
• RTO (Request Time Off) must be requested at submission
• Travelers must reside outside of a 50-mile radius and not in specified counties: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington
• No local candidates accepted from specified counties
• Travel pairs are not allowed
• Travelers may only submit to one position at a time

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent critical care experience required
• Certifications must be from AHA or RQI
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Flu vaccination is required unless a medical exemption signed by a licensed professional is provided
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required; Canadian SIN not accepted
