Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with a valid MA license and at least 2 years of ER experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of a community acute care hospital
• Patient ratios are typically 1:4-5
• Night shift schedule (4x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend is required
• No on-call responsibilities
• No floating within or outside department
• Cerner used for charting (experience preferred)
• Finalized requests for time off must be submitted in advance; no changes allowed after signing
• Scrubs of any color are permitted, except jean material is not allowed
• Free parking is available in unrestricted spaces or in the lot across the street
• Orientation includes additional details on parking and hospital procedures
• Locals are accepted but are subject to local pay rates if residing within 50 miles of the facility

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BCLS, PALS
• Experience with 1:4-5 patient ratios required
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• First-time travelers will be considered with 2-3 years of experience and Epic or Cerner EMR experience
