Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in a hospital setting, requiring a compact or NC RN license and night shift availability.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital environment
• Assignment is part of the staffing pool and involves caring for a diverse patient population
• Work schedule consists of three 12-hour night shifts per week, from 7:00pm to 7:00am
• 13-week contract assignment
• Provide comprehensive clinical nursing care in line with professional standards and hospital policies
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Educate patients and families per individual learning needs and developmental levels
• Perform bedside point of care testing as needed for patient care
• Support a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment for patients and staff
• Participate in professional development, unit goals, and performance improvement activities
• All required background check and drug screen results must be submitted on time, or contract start may be delayed

Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a compact state
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience required
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing school required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC required
