Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with at least one year of Trauma Level 1 experience and a NC or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Operating Room of a hospital setting
• Responsibilities include care for surgical patients in a Level 1 Trauma environment
• Day shifts from 7:00am to 7:00pm, three days per week
• Assignment is for 13 weeks
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in a trauma operating room setting
• Participate in interdisciplinary planning and evaluation of patient care
• Demonstrate competence in the care of patients with complex trauma-related needs
• Engage in professional development and unit performance improvement activities
• Orientation and ongoing education are provided to support clinical competency

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience in an operating room setting
• At least one year of Trauma Level 1 Operating Room experience required
• Nursing Diploma, ADN or ASN from an accredited school of nursing
