Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN for an Emergency Department position with weekday evening shifts and required advanced certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Patient population includes a variety of emergency medical and trauma cases
• Shift is Monday through Thursday from 12:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
• Full-time assignment lasting 13 weeks
• Responsible for total patient care, patient teaching, and supervision of ancillary personnel
• Completion of designated CareLearning education modules required prior to start
• Flu vaccination required during flu season or appropriate documentation for exemption
• No specific radius rule for local candidates

Requirements

• Active IA or compact RN license required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications are required
• Experience in emergency nursing preferred but not required
• Iowa Mandatory Reporter Certificates (Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse) required or must complete prior to start
• Proof of current immunizations, drug screening, physical, and respiratory fit test required prior to start
• Background checks for all states of licensure and recent residency required
