Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a combined ER and MedSurg role in an acute care setting requiring 3 years of experience and multiple advanced certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care facility covering both Emergency Room and MedSurg units
• Small hospital staffing model with 2 nurses and 1 CNA covering hospital, outpatient, and ER patients simultaneously
• Typical hospital census is approximately 8 patients with 1-2 daily outpatients and an average of 3-4 ER cases per day
• Day and night rotating 12-hour shifts with every other weekend and holiday required
• Uses EPIC for electronic charting
• Nurses are responsible for both ER and inpatient MedSurg care along with outpatient treatments
• Scrub color is navy blue
• First-time travelers may apply
• Previous Sanford Health employees must have a 6-month gap from end of employment to consideration
• Candidates with a permanent address within 80 miles are eligible as local candidates

Requirements

• Active ND or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 3 years professional RN experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
• COVID vaccination required
