Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a General Ultrasound Technologist for a multi-campus assignment requiring ARDMS-RDMS (AB) or (OB-GYN) certification and acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in a hospital setting with rotations between four campus locations
• General ultrasound procedures for patients across the age spectrum, including possible pediatric and neonatal cases
• Utilizes Phillips ultrasound equipment and Epic EMR system
• Typical caseload is approximately 10 cases per day, with 2 ultrasound rooms at each location
• Day shift schedule with a rotating pattern of 36 hours per week and includes every 5th weekend call and one weekday evening on call
• Clinician will always have somebody with them on shift
• Floating required to West Campus, East Campus, Radiology Plaza, and April Sampson Cancer Center
• Training provided with the department coordinator during orientation
• Required to wear light blue scrubs
• Team-oriented environment with support available at all times
• Effective communication and ability to work independently are essential
• Must be able to problem-solve, engage in independent critical thinking, and handle sensitive information confidentially
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• Local candidates not accepted

Requirements

• Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an ultrasonographer in an acute care hospital setting
• Current ARDMS-RDMS (AB) or (OB-GYN) certification required
• Current BLS via AHA, ARC, or Military Training Network required
• Prior certification in neonatal neurosonography or pediatric sonography preferred
• Pediatric and neonatal experience preferred
• License required if applicable
