Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool Weekend Track position with required Epic experience and an active NY RN license.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Med/Surg Float Pool within the Central Staffing Office of a hospital
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend Track position requiring weekend shifts
• Candidate will float to various medical-surgical units as needed
• Epic EMR is used and prior experience with Epic is required
• No blocked scheduling allowed
• Competency testing must be passed within two attempts for those with less than two years of Med/Surg experience
• More than three call outs in a 13-week period will result in contract termination and missed shifts must be made up within six weeks
• Requested time off must be declared at the time of submission
• Travel pairs are not allowed for this assignment
• Not open to local candidates residing in specified counties within a 50-mile radius
• Travelers may only apply to one position at a time

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years recent Med/Surg experience required
• Certifications from American Heart Association (AHA) or RQI are required
• Epic EMR experience required for all candidates
• Must have a US Social Security Number; Canadian SIN not accepted
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Medical flu exemption only allowed with documentation from a licensed professional
