Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float Pool RN with at least 2 years of recent experience and EPIC EMR proficiency for night shifts in New York.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Med/Surg Float Pool, Central Staffing Office, and Clinical Support units
• Patient population varies based on float assignment
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• No call required
• EPIC EMR experience is mandatory
• No local candidates allowed from Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington counties within a 50-mile radius
• Med/Surg applicants with less than 2 years of experience must pass Med/Surg competency testing with up to 2 attempts
• Make-up shifts are required for more than 3 call outs in a 13-week period and must be completed within 6 weeks from the last call out
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• RTO (requested time off) must be submitted at time of application
• Travel pairs are not allowed
• Candidates may only apply to one position at a time

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at the time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years recent Med/Surg experience required
• Current certifications from AHA or RQI (such as BLS) must be submitted
• EPIC EMR proficiency is required
• Must have no work history gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required for consideration (Canadian SIN not accepted)
• Flu vaccine required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional accepted
