Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist with ARRT and BLS certifications and strong proficiency in advanced IR procedures.
Responsibilities
- Work in an interventional radiology department serving inpatient, outpatient, and adult ICU populations
- Procedures include stents, angioplasty, angiograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis, nephogram, peripheral interventions, biopsies, drainages, vascular studies, venous access, neuro studies, GU, abdominal and pelvic, and upper/lower extremity cases
- Required use of PACS, C-Arm, contrast, micro catheters, micro wires, pushable/detachable coils, Snare Kits, and injector systems (preferably ACIST)
- Epic EMR experience required
- Day shift; 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Call is required an average of 10 days per month, including one weekend
- Floating not required within the facility
- Duties include performing a full spectrum of IR procedures and utilizing specialized IR equipment
- Team support provided within a tertiary care hospital environment
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Scrubs are provided; parking is onsite at no cost
- Applicants must be available to work 4 out of the 8 major holidays
- All RTO must be submitted with the initial application
- Two professional supervisory references from the past 2 years are required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of interventional radiology experience required
- Active ARRT and BLS certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic EMR, PACS, C-Arm, and advanced IR procedures
- Work experience in outpatient, inpatient, and adult ICU settings required
- Must be able to use and deploy pushable/detachable coils, micro catheters, micro wires, Snare Kits, and injector systems
- License required if applicable
- Candidate must reside more than 70 miles from the facility
