Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 2 years of recent acute care experience, active CA state license, and Cerner charting proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Position works in a dedicated nuclear medicine department
• Day shifts, 5x8 schedule, Monday through Saturday with variable start times between 6:30am and 9:30am
• Perform procedures including research PET scans using various investigational ligands
• No blocked or self-scheduling is permitted
• Cerner EMR experience is required
• No time off will be approved in the first two weeks of the assignment
• Once submitted, requested time off cannot be changed except to cancel
• Return staff must have been gone for 1 year prior to being considered again as a traveler
• Scrub and dress code requirements will be outlined during onboarding
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Must provide at least one supervisory/manager reference from within the last year

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a nuclear medicine technologist in an acute care setting
• Active CA state license required
• BLS certification required
• ARRT(N) and/or CNMT and NMTCB certifications required
• ARRT(R) and PET experience preferred
• Must pass EKG exam within 3 attempts
• License required if applicable
