Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN with MI licensure and strong EPIC experience for a night float position.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital setting on multiple medical-surgical units
- Float position covering units including urology, ortho, neuro, family medicine, surgical and medical short stay, medicine oncology, pulmonary, and GI
- Patient ratios are 1:3 on days, 1:4 on nights and weekends
- Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:30
- Weekend work required every other weekend (4 shifts per 8 weeks)
- No on-call responsibilities
- Care for diverse med/surg patient populations across several specialties
- No call responsibility is required for this position
- Team-oriented environment with frequent floating between units
- All time off requests must be submitted at the time of application
Requirements
- Active MI RN license required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum of 2 years recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- First-time travelers accepted only if they have previously floated in med/surg
- Cannot have been employed at any client facility within the last 12 months

Sebrona was so helpful and quick to respond. She is kind and patient. She was able to get me the job I wanted with excellent pay. After she done her part she continued to check in with me to see how the compliance part was going. I felt comfortable with asking her questions even though it wasn’t the department she worked in.
