Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN with MI licensure and strong EPIC experience for a night float position.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital setting on multiple medical-surgical units
• Float position covering units including urology, ortho, neuro, family medicine, surgical and medical short stay, medicine oncology, pulmonary, and GI
• Patient ratios are 1:3 on days, 1:4 on nights and weekends
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:30
• Weekend work required every other weekend (4 shifts per 8 weeks)
• No on-call responsibilities
• Care for diverse med/surg patient populations across several specialties
• No call responsibility is required for this position
• Team-oriented environment with frequent floating between units
• All time off requests must be submitted at the time of application

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum of 2 years recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• First-time travelers accepted only if they have previously floated in med/surg
• Cannot have been employed at any client facility within the last 12 months
