Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a MO or compact license, EPIC experience, and the ability to run codes for a night shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in the ICU of a hospital setting
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2-3
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts (19:00 to 07:30)
• Float required within scope to ED or Med Surg depending on experience
• May be the only critical care nurse on duty and must be competent in running codes
• Uses EPIC EMR; experience required
• Weekend shifts required as needed
• May be required to float and provide support as a tasker or work as a sitter or PCT
• First-time travelers are accepted
• No more than 7 days of RTO allowed per 13-week contract, and no RTO in the first week of orientation
• Travelers may stay up to 18 months, followed by a 3-month break
• Completion of modules during pre-start orientation is required
• Holiday and block scheduling requests are not accommodated

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required (pending license accepted)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius from the facility
• Permanent employees must wait one year before returning as a traveler
