Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Primary Care clinic position in an ambulatory setting, requiring Epic experience and at least one year of clinic nursing experience.

Responsibilities

Position is based in a Primary Care clinic serving Family Medicine and Internal Medicine populations
Ambulatory clinic setting with 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm
Patient population includes all ages in Family Medicine and adults to geriatric in Internal Medicine
Care encompasses a broad range of primary care needs, including chronic conditions and preventive exams
Providers may perform minor procedures, with RNs supporting setup and chaperoning as needed
Must occasionally float to other areas as required
Use of Epic EMR is required
Support staff includes MAs, LPNs, RNs, MDs, APPs, phlebotomy, and radiology
Daily duties include room setup, assisting with minor procedures, and supporting providers with instruments and supplies
Navy blue scrubs required for RNs
No on-call or weekend shifts required
First-time travelers may be considered if they have previous ambulatory experience
Free parking is available in designated areas
Time off requests require supervisor approval

Requirements

Active SD or compact RN license required
Current BLS certification required
Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing is required
Minimum of one year recent ambulatory clinic RN experience required
Experience with Epic in an ambulatory clinic is required
Ability to start IVs is strongly preferred
Must live more than 100 miles from the facility for consideration
Permanent staff may not return as a traveler until one full year has passed

Sebrona was so helpful and quick to respond. She is kind and patient. She was able to get me the job I wanted with excellent pay. After she done her part she continued to check in with me to see how the compliance part was going. I felt comfortable with asking her questions even though it wasn’t the department she worked in.
