Job Description

American Traveler seeks an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring an AL or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Medical Surgical unit
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Option to work 4x12 hour shifts
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6
• Float required and occasional charge responsibilities as needed
• Level II Trauma facility experience preferred
• Must be able to work every other weekend
• Required to work at least one of the following holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or Christmas Day
• Locals considered with a 60 mile radius rule for eligibility
• 30-minute lunch breaks are mandatory and cannot be skipped
• Patient care duties include IV insertion, wound management, and implementing isolation precautions

Requirements

• Active AL or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification from AHA required
• Fit test completion required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
• IV start, wound care, wound vac, and isolation precautions skills required
• Travel nursing experience preferred
