Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring a NJ or compact license and strong adult and pediatric ER skills.

Responsibilities

• Position is in an Emergency Department (ER) setting
• Patient population includes both adults and pediatrics
• Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00-07:00)
• Patient ratio is 1:4
• Floating required within seven hospitals based on skillset and facility needs
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Epic charting system is used
• No on-call responsibility is required
• RTO (requested time off) must be submitted at the time of application; none permitted in the first week
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required at time of consideration with no exemptions permitted
• First time travelers are accepted but not preferred
• Local pay rate applies to candidates living within 50 miles of the hospital

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• Minimum 3 years of recent ER experience
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Experience with both adult and pediatric emergency care required
• Must pass a dysrhythmia test within 72 hours of signing, on a PC device; only two attempts allowed
