Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a home health position requiring at least 1 year of recent home health experience and valid NC licensure.

Responsibilities

• Work in a home health setting with an 8-hour day shift from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Patient load of 6 visits per day covering cities including Terrell, Lincolnton, Denver, Belmont, and surrounding areas
• Patient population includes individuals with chronic diseases and those recovering from orthopedic surgery
• No weekend, holiday, on-call, or floating requirements
• Expected driving distance averages 60-80 miles per day and mileage is reimbursed weekly
• Uses HCHB (Homecare Homebase) for documentation and Focura for uploading critical documents
• EPIC Rover is used in a view-only capacity and Samsung Note 9 phones are provided for work
• Responsibilities include scheduling next-day patient visits and documentation
• Required to complete 30 visit equivalents per week; cancelled appointments do not count
• Support available from department leadership, scheduler, clinical manager, supervisor, and peers
• Five-day orientation and facility NEO provided
• Scrub color is grey and parking is free
• Work in a collaborative team environment
• Company cell phone provided for documentation and communication
• One in-person or virtual branch meeting per week required
• Open to first-time travelers with strong home health backgrounds
• Permanent residence must be at least 50 miles from the facility
• Manager approval required for all requested time off

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in home health physical therapy
• Current NC state PT license required; license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• Valid driver's license and proof of insurance required
• Ability to perform evaluations, reassessments, discharges, and supervise PTAs
