Description

Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a level I trauma, Magnet hospital with weekend block scheduling and IL licensure required.

Responsibilities

Work in the Medical Surgical unit of an acute care hospital
Weekend-only shifts: Saturday, Sunday, and Monday
Day shifts: 3x12 hours (6:45am – 7:15pm)
Average daily census of 21 patients
Floats as needed within departmental scope
Level I trauma center and Magnet facility
Uses Cerner charting system; Cerner experience preferred but not required
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Locals are accepted with no radius restrictions
Block scheduling is accommodated
No on-call requirements
Up to 5 days of requested time off preferred
Solid color scrubs may be worn
Free parking with permit provided during orientation

Requirements

Active IL RN license or in process with proof of application
Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical RN experience required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
IV therapy, blood product administration, peripheral and PICC line management required
Isolation precautions experience required

Pros

Sebrona was so helpful and quick to respond. She is kind and patient. She was able to get me the job I wanted with excellent pay. After she done her part she continued to check in with me to see how the compliance part was going. I felt comfortable with asking her questions even though it wasn’t the department she worked in. She would reach out to others and get the answer or be sure they contacted me.
