Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with circulating and scrubbing skills for a rotating day/evening position requiring flexibility in shift schedules.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital operating room setting
• Rotating day and evening shifts with a combination of 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts totaling 40 hours per week
• Call required, including evening, night, and weekend shifts as needed
• Patient populations include neuro, thoracic, ENT, ortho, general, plastics, urology, GU/GYN, free flaps, and robotics cases
• Preferred experience with oncology cases
• Uses Da Vinci robotics and EPIC EMR, with EPIC experience required
• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care including circulating and scrubbing
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic patient records
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• RTO (time off) requests must be included with application
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Scrub attire must adhere to hospital standards

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
• BCLS certification required
• Circulate and scrub experience required
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR required
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Two professional references required, with at least one from a supervisor or manager
• Must complete OH fingerprinting promptly upon contract signing
• Former employees eligible if away for at least 6 months; current employees at Ohio State University hospitals are not eligible
