Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry unit in California requiring CA RN licensure, BLS, and 2 years of recent telemetry and ACU/PACU experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a telemetry unit within an acute patient care setting
- Provides telemetry and ambulatory care nursing to diverse patient populations
- Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts; start times range from 6:00 to 10:00
- Weekend rotation is required
- No on-call requirements
- 50 mile radius rule in effect for candidates
- Responsibilities include assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for telemetry patients
- Patient/family education and care transition planning required
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Individualized and holistic care planning considering psychological, sociocultural, and economic factors
- Lab work must be completed within 3–5 days of signing acceptance
- Only 1 holiday time off request will be approved
Requirements
- Active California RN license is required
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum of 2 years recent telemetry and ACU/PACU nursing experience required
- Must have been separated from facility for at least 1 year if previously employed as travel or staff RN
