Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry unit in California requiring CA RN licensure, BLS, and 2 years of recent telemetry and ACU/PACU experience.

Responsibilities

Work in a telemetry unit within an acute patient care setting
Provides telemetry and ambulatory care nursing to diverse patient populations
Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts; start times range from 6:00 to 10:00
Weekend rotation is required
No on-call requirements
50 mile radius rule in effect for candidates
Responsibilities include assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for telemetry patients
Patient/family education and care transition planning required
Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Individualized and holistic care planning considering psychological, sociocultural, and economic factors
Lab work must be completed within 3–5 days of signing acceptance
Only 1 holiday time off request will be approved

Requirements

Active California RN license is required
Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Minimum of 2 years recent telemetry and ACU/PACU nursing experience required
Must have been separated from facility for at least 1 year if previously employed as travel or staff RN
