Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist for nights in a small, acute emergency setting with the ability to perform both ultrasound and x-ray studies.
Responsibilities
- Work in an off-campus emergency department radiology unit with 10 beds
- Primarily supports ER patients in a small, acute care environment
- Solo technologist role with support from other locations
- Shift is 12-hour nights (1900-0730 or 0700-1930), including weekends and holidays
- Possible on-call requirements
- Uses EPIC EMR and PACS imaging systems
- Float not required
- Responsibilities include performing both ultrasound and x-ray imaging for ER patients in a fast-paced, acute environment
- Solo coverage of radiology with remote support available as needed
- 2-5 days of orientation provided upon arrival
- Scrub color is variable
- Free parking available
- Time off requests must go through the manager
- Must provide two supervisory references prior to start
- License required if applicable
Requirements
- Current BLS certification required
- ARDMS and RVT certifications required if applicable
- Variable years of experience accepted; first-time travelers considered but must be able to perform x-ray procedures in addition to ultrasound
- Ability to work independently in an ER radiology setting
