Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring Virginia or compact licensure, ACLS/BLS certification, and Epic experience.

Responsibilities

Work in a Progressive Care Unit setting within a hospital environment
Unit assignment will be based on facility need after clinical evaluation
Day shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts, 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
Contracts available from 14 to 26 weeks upon request
Typical patient ratio is 1:5 with a goal of 1:4
All travelers are required to float within their acuity as needed
Uses Epic for electronic medical records; previous Epic experience required
Provide care to stepdown/PCU level patients in accordance with unit and hospital protocols
Assignments may be determined after clinical evaluation to best match skills to unit needs
Candidate must be willing to float to other units based on facility requirements

Requirements

Active RN license in Virginia or compact state required
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
Epic charting experience required
Professional references will be required for consideration

Pros

Sebrona was so helpful and quick to respond. She is kind and patient. She was able to get me the job I wanted with excellent pay. After she done her part she continued to check in with me to see how the compliance part was going. I felt comfortable with asking her questions even though it wasn’t the department she worked in. She would reach out to others and get the answer or be sure they contacted me.
