Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) assignment requiring night shifts, Epic experience, and VA or compact licensure.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within a hospital setting
• Patient ratio currently 1:5 with a goal of 1:4
• Requires caring for intermediate acuity patients typical of PCU
• Floating within acuity is required as needed
• Assignment length ranges from 14 to 26 weeks, based on candidate's preference
• Night shift schedule consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week (18:45 to 7:15)
• Unit placement will be determined after a clinical evaluation
• EPIC charting experience required
• Responsibilities include providing specialized care to progressive care patients and adapting to various units as needed
• Must be willing to float to other units as dictated by patient acuity and facility needs
• Assignment start date is flexible based on candidate availability
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for onboarding

Requirements

• Active RN license for VA or compact state required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Recent PCU nursing experience strongly preferred
• Two professional references needed for consideration
