Job Description

American Traveler seeks a skilled RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position with night shifts and required experience with Epic.

Responsibilities

Work in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within a hospital setting
Night shift schedule with 3x12 or 4x12 hour options (18:45–07:15)
Patient ratios are currently 1:5, with a goal of 1:4
Float to other units as needed based on patient acuity
Assignment length options range from 13 to 26 weeks, depending on candidate preference
Unit assignment determined after clinical evaluation
Uses Epic as the electronic medical record (EMR)
Shifts are 12 hours overnight, with flexible assignment lengths available
Travelers are expected to adapt to different PCU settings as assigned
Supportive team environment with collaborative care responsibilities
First time travelers are accepted

Requirements

Active VA or compact RN license required
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications
Prior experience with Epic EMR required
Two professional references required for consideration

Pros

Sebrona was so helpful and quick to respond. She is kind and patient. She was able to get me the job I wanted with excellent pay. After she done her part she continued to check in with me to see how the compliance part was going. I felt comfortable with asking her questions even though it wasn’t the department she worked in. She would reach out to others and get the answer or be sure they contacted me.
