Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with at least 18 months of MRI experience and current ARRT, ARMRIT, and BLS certifications for a weekend day shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Position located in a short-term acute care hospital with 250 beds
• Work in the MRI department on a 3x12 hour schedule, Friday through Sunday, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Weekend call required every 6 weeks
• Department utilizes 2 Siemens Magnetom Aera MRI machines with syngo MR XA30 Software
• Case types include Neuro, MKS, Body, and MRA studies; Breast and Cardiac studies are excluded from this role
• Patient population includes outpatients, inpatients, observation, and emergency patients
• All travelers must be willing to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed
• Cerner EMR is used for documentation
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Candidates must be able to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Royal blue scrubs are required while on shift
• Free parking is provided
• Local candidates within 50 miles are eligible at a lower pay rate
• All travelers are required to float per hospital policy
• RTO of up to 5 days (excluding holidays) can be auto-approved; more than 5 days requires facility approval
• Former permanent or PRN employees must have a 12-month separation before applying as a traveler

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months of experience as an MRI Technologist is required
• Active BLS, ARRT, and ARMRIT certifications required
• Indiana state MRI license required if applicable; must have in hand prior to start date
• Experience with PACS and Siemens equipment required
• Must be a graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited university
• Experience with Cerner charting required
• Must provide 2 supervisory references for consideration
