Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist for a Cath Lab assignment requiring at least 1 year of recent experience and current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in a cardiac catheterization laboratory
• Responsibilities include providing technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures such as cardiac and vascular imaging
• Operates imaging equipment and works in the control room monitoring and documenting procedure images and events
• Assists physicians as a scrub assistant during procedures while maintaining sterile technique
• Patient care is provided under the supervision of an RN
• Uses Epic charting system for documentation
• Four 10-hour day shifts per week
• Duties include maintaining unit cleanliness and stock, performing daily and discharge documentation, and assisting with educational needs of patients and families
• Participation in quality and patient safety initiatives is expected
• Permanent staff must have separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
• Dress code follows clinical standards; further details provided during onboarding

Requirements

• One year of recent Cath Lab or cardiology specialty experience required
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree preferred
• Registered ARRT or RCIS certification required within 18 months of hire; RCES or Registered Respiratory Therapist with CV specific certification also accepted
• Active license required if applicable
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required and must not expire prior to start
• Fluoroscopy certification required
• Must provide radiation badges
• Experience with Epic EMR required
