Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Clinical Resource Unit float pool position in Illinois, requiring Level 1 Trauma experience, Epic EMR proficiency, and night shift availability.

Responsibilities

• Work within the Clinical Resource Unit (float pool) in a hospital setting
• Float to various inpatient units including Medical-Oncology, Surgical-Orthopedic, Cardiovascular Care, Progressive Care, Mental Health, and Acute Rehab
• Care for a diverse adult patient population including acute and chronically ill cardiac and pulmonary patients, post-surgical cases, and complex trauma
• Night shift schedule from 7:00PM to 7:30AM, three shifts per week
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses Epic EMR for all documentation
• Float between multiple units as assigned to meet staffing needs
• Provide direct nursing care including assessments, care planning, medication administration, and post-operative care
• Perform IV venipuncture, blood administration, and manage cardiac and pulmonary cases
• Document and communicate within a multidisciplinary team environment
• Night shift only; no on-call required
• Not eligible for assignment if employed at the facility within the past year or reached one year of continuous contingent assignment at the health system
• RTO (requested time off) cannot exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Travel partners are not accepted

Requirements

• Active IL RN license or valid temporary RN license
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Minimum of one year relevant RN experience
• Documented experience in a Level 1 Trauma setting
• Epic EMR experience required
• College diploma in nursing
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility (no locals)
