Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position on a post-op rehab unit, requiring 18 months of experience and a GA or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital setting on the 5NW Post Op Rehab unit
• Patient population includes post-operative rehabilitation cases
• Twelve-hour night shifts are required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Thirteen-week assignment
• Strict rules apply to requested time off: maximum of five days if not near a holiday, and a maximum of three days if near a holiday
• Only one holiday time-off request is permitted
• Several contiguous days off during the holidays will not be approved; time off must be spread out during that period
• Travelers may only submit to one position at a time within the system

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum of 18 months Med/Surg nursing experience
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; locals are not eligible
• Former Emory or Houston permanent staff must be separated for one year before returning, and 18 months if returning to the same facility
