Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a Hawaii license and at least three years of ICU experience for a varied shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) within a hospital setting
• Unit has 11 beds with a patient ratio of 2:1
• Must be flexible for day or night shifts, determined per roster based on staffing needs
• Schedule consists of 3 twelve-hour shifts per week after orientation
• Required to take 2 twelve-hour call shifts per 4-week roster period
• May float to other critical care and step-down units as needed
• Utilizes Meditech EMR system; experience preferred
• Professional scrubs are required as the dress code
• A one-week orientation up to 40 hours is provided
• All travelers must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to assignment; plan to be in Hawaii the Thursday before Monday start
• Main responsibilities include providing intensive care nursing to critically ill patients in a team-oriented environment

Requirements

• Active Hawaii (HI) RN license required by assignment start date
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required (can be completed online during orientation)
• Minimum 3 years of recent ICU experience
