Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical unit night shift with a GA or compact RN license and at least one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a hospital setting
• Patients include those with TIA/stroke, anemia, UTI, chest pain, and other general med/surg conditions
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:00)
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
• Travellers are expected to work major holidays based on the assignment period
• Maximum of 7 days RTO allowed; no RTO in the first week
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• Travel pairs are not permitted to be assigned the same shift on the same unit
• Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time
• Locals are accepted at the same rate

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience in a med/surg setting
• Unit accepts first-time travelers
• Two supervisory references required at time of consideration
• Must have been away from all Piedmont facilities for at least one year if previously employed as perm or PRN
• Returning travelers deemed ineligible at one facility must complete one successful assignment outside Piedmont before returning
