Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position at a Level 2 Trauma Center, requiring circulating, scrubbing, and multi-specialty OR skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Operating Room of a Level 2 Trauma Center
• Day shift schedule: 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Call required 2 times per schedule
• Handles all OR specialties except open heart cases
• Robotic, ENT, ortho, vascular, general, thoracic, and neuro procedures required
• Uses EPIC for charting
• Scrubs are provided
• Locals are accepted at the same rate
• Responsible for circulating and scrubbing for a variety of surgical cases including trauma, orthopedics, neuro, and more
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Team-oriented environment at a Level 2 Trauma Center
• Scrub and Circulate skills checklist must be submitted for consideration

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care OR experience
• Proficiency in circulating and scrubbing in the OR
• Experience with robotic and ENT surgeries required
• Previous experience in ortho, vascular, general, thoracic, and neuro procedures required
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system preferred
• Must not have been employed full-time or PRN in the RWJBH health system within the past year
