Job Description
American Traveler seeks an experienced MRI Technologist for a night shift assignment with Siemens scanner experience and ARRT or NMTCB certification.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital-based MRI unit with two 1.5T Siemens Aera scanners
- Performs neuro, musculoskeletal, and abdominal MRI scans, with specialty exams including breast, enterography, and patients with pacemakers
- Unit regularly scans ICU patients and uses MRI safe ventilators and monitoring equipment
- No cardiac, prostate, CSF flow studies, or MSA extremities performed
- Epic EMR is used in the department
- Night shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts (18:00–06:30)
- Every third weekend required, with holidays as assigned
- Call includes 3 weekday day shifts per month and 1 weekend every 12 weeks
- Regular duties include scanning ICU patients and performing a range of neuro, MSK, abdominal, and specialty exams
- MRI safe ventilator and IVAC are available in the unit
- No conscious sedation performed
- Charcoal grey scrubs are required for this role
- Epic charting experience is beneficial
- Candidates must have a permanent address at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of MRI technologist experience; 1.5 years considered with strong Level I or large hospital background
- Experience with Siemens MRI scanners required
- ARRT or NMTCB certification required
- BLS certification required
- Experience in IV starts strongly preferred
- Cardiac MRI experience is a plus
- License required if applicable
