Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of experience in both peripheral and neurovascular procedures for a Level 1 trauma setting.
Responsibilities
- Position is in an Interventional Radiology unit with 4 IR rooms, including 2 single plane and 2 biplane Siemens c-arms
- Patient population includes trauma, stroke, and complex vascular cases
- Team consists of two IR techs per room, with specific roles for circulating and scrubbing
- Procedures include stents, angioplasty, angiograms, embolizations, nephrostomy, IVC filter placement, PE/intracranial thrombectomy, venous access, and more
- Level 1 trauma, Level 1 PE, and Level 1 stroke environment
- Day shift schedule of 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- On-call requirement every 3rd or 4th weekend starting Friday evening through Monday morning
- Cerner EMR is used and charting experience is required
- Float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals may be required
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Up to 5 days of requested time off may be auto-approved
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
- All travelers may need to float to other units or affiliate hospitals as needed
- Candidates who were permanent or PRN employees must be away for 12 months before applying as a traveler
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience in peripheral and neurovascular interventional radiology
- Proficient in scrubbing and circulating for a wide variety of IR procedures
- Current ARRT and BLS (AHA or RQI) required
- Graduation from an accredited program (ACEN or CCNE) required
- Experience with Siemens c-arm equipment preferred
- Cerner charting experience required
- IN or Compact license required for positions with start dates within 2-4 weeks (license required if applicable)
