Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring a LA or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Operating Room department with 7 rooms
• Perform 10-25 surgical cases per day
• Day shift schedule: 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, 5 days per week
• Required to take weekday, weekend, and holiday call
• Must work 2 weekends in every 6-week schedule rotation
• Green scrubs are provided
• First-time travelers are accepted if they have adequate OR experience
• May be assigned to an Emergency Team, requiring extended duty during emergency events
• Must be comfortable following unit manager assignments during emergencies
• Holiday and call coverage is required as part of the role

Requirements

• Active LA or compact RN license required
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• CVOR experience preferred but not required
• Must live at least 65 miles away; local travelers not accepted
