Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU float pool position requiring Epic experience and a VA or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the ICU float pool covering various intensive and intermediate care units
• Units include Medical ICU, Thoracic Cardiovascular ICU, Coronary Care Unit, Surgical Trauma ICU (Level 1), Neuro & Neurosurgery ICU, Critical Care and Intermediate Care Special Pathogens Unit, Thoracic Cardiovascular Intermediate Unit, Surgical Trauma Intermediate Unit, Neuro & Neurosurgery Intermediate Unit, and ED boarders
• Level 1 trauma environment with high-acuity patient populations
• Day and night shifts available with rotating schedule
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Float to multiple units per facility float policy
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Provide nursing care to a diverse range of ICU and intermediate care patients
• Must adhere to float policies and flexibility requirements
• Rotating schedule includes assignment to various ICUs and intermediate care units based on clinical experience
• Holiday coverage is required on a rotating basis
• Up to 40 hours of requested time off can be approved
• No radius rule applies for travel consideration

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required (will accept pending VA license)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration
• At least 12 months must pass before returning as a traveler
