Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN with telemetry skills for a day shift position on an oncology-focused floor, requiring a GA or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Medical Surgical unit with an oncology patient population
• Typical patient ratio is 1:6 or 1:7
• Day shift position with 3x12-hour schedule preferred, will consider 4x12s
• Every other weekend required
• Uses Cerner and Soarian EMR systems
• Block scheduling may be considered
• Royal blue scrubs are required for this unit
• Minimal to no requested time off will be approved
• Local candidates living under 30 miles from the facility will not be considered
• Two professional references will be needed for consideration

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license in hand
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum one year of recent Med/Surg experience required
• Experience with higher patient ratios (1:6 or 1:7) is required
• Proficiency with telemetry and IV start required
• Oncology experience highly preferred
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Must provide a PDF copy of driver’s license and SSN for consideration
