Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg assignment with weekend and holiday requirements in Georgia or a compact state.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Medical Surgical unit within a hospital setting
• Day shifts scheduled as 3x12 hours from 6:45 to 19:15
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating may be required within the facility and within scope of practice as needed
• Assignment duration is approximately 12 weeks
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Must be willing to work assigned holidays as per facility policy
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off allowed and none permitted during the first week of assignment
• Returning travelers must be away from all Piedmont facilities for at least one full year before returning as a traveler
• If unable to return to one facility, a successful assignment outside the system is required before rebooking at another location
• Travel pairs will not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit
• Blocked scheduling is not permitted
• Full compliance is required to begin on time; non-compliance may result in delayed start due to bi-weekly orientation schedule

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• Unit accepts first time travelers
• Two supervisory references from a manager or higher are required for consideration
• Must be fully compliant with required onboarding and documentation prior to start
