Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring at least one year of ICU experience and a MO or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) within a hospital setting
• Three 10-hour day shifts per week from 10:00 to 20:30
• Rotating holiday coverage is required
• Call and weekend call are required
• Primary patient population includes postoperative patients recovering from anesthesia
• Cerner EMR is used; previous experience is preferred but not required
• Must be able to work at least 50% of holidays occurring during the contract
• Orientation to call schedule and PACU protocols will be provided on site
• Candidates must reside within a 75-mile radius; local candidates accepted at a reduced rate
• Requested time off (RTO) must be included at time of application
• No pending licenses considered—active license required for consideration

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license in hand
• A minimum of 2 years total RN experience and at least 1 year of recent PACU or ICU experience
• Ability to take call and work assigned weekends and holidays
• Ability to work assigned shift hours and the duration of the contract
• Must submit required documents including active license and at least two references
• First time travelers are not accepted
