Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department night shift position, requiring a MO or compact RN license and ACLS/PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a busy Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department that includes a dedicated pediatric ED
• Cares for trauma, stroke, STEMI, and pediatric patient populations
• Shift is night (3x12 hours), 19:15–06:45, with every other weekend required
• Required to work at least 50% of holidays during contract
• Floating required between ED and ED Observation units
• Cerner EMR is used and familiarity is preferred
• Provide care for adult and pediatric patients in a high-acuity trauma setting
• Psychiatric patient care unit available but no floating to psych center
• Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius at a different rate
• First-time travelers with Level 1 trauma experience considered
• RTO (requested time off) must be declared at time of application to be considered
• Team-oriented environment with multidisciplinary support

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience and at least 1 year in Emergency Department required
• Level 1 trauma experience required for first-time travelers
• Current ACLS and PALS certifications required
• CPI certification preferred (course available onsite if not already held)
