Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department night shift position, requiring a MO or compact RN license and ACLS/PALS certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in a busy Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department that includes a dedicated pediatric ED
- Cares for trauma, stroke, STEMI, and pediatric patient populations
- Shift is night (3x12 hours), 19:15–06:45, with every other weekend required
- Required to work at least 50% of holidays during contract
- Floating required between ED and ED Observation units
- Cerner EMR is used and familiarity is preferred
- Provide care for adult and pediatric patients in a high-acuity trauma setting
- Psychiatric patient care unit available but no floating to psych center
- Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius at a different rate
- First-time travelers with Level 1 trauma experience considered
- RTO (requested time off) must be declared at time of application to be considered
- Team-oriented environment with multidisciplinary support
Requirements
- Active MO or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience and at least 1 year in Emergency Department required
- Level 1 trauma experience required for first-time travelers
- Current ACLS and PALS certifications required
- CPI certification preferred (course available onsite if not already held)

After she done her part she continued to check in with me to see how the compliance part was going. I felt comfortable with asking her questions even though it wasn’t the department she worked in. She would reach out to others and get the answer or be sure they contacted me.
